How to Install a GA-2100 Strap Adapter

The GA-2100’s resin lugs only accept Casio’s own band — until you fit an adapter. Two stainless adapters convert the mount to standard 22mm spring bars, opening our entire strap catalog. Total time: five minutes, one small screwdriver.

What you need

  • Your strap adapter set (left + right — they are handed)
  • A small Phillips screwdriver (PH000 or PH00)
  • A spring bar tool for mounting the strap afterwards

Steps

  1. Lay the watch on a soft cloth, module-down. You will not open the case at any point.
  2. Remove the two factory screws at the strap interface — one per side. They are small: press down while turning so the driver doesn’t cam out.
  3. Seat each adapter in the empty lug channel. Left adapter on the 10 o’clock side, right on 2 o’clock. They only fit one way — never force them.
  4. Refit the screws. Snug, not heroic — these are 2mm screws; gorilla torque strips the channel.
  5. Mount any 22mm strap with its spring bars. Curved-end straps follow the case line best.

Three myths

  • “It breaks water resistance” — no. The case seal is untouched; you never open the module.
  • “Screws back out over time” — ours are thread-fitted with matched lengths; a drop of low-strength thread locker makes it permanent if you insist.
  • “Adapters scratch the resin” — tolerance-matched pairs sit flush; install once and the contact face never slides.

First strap to mount?

FAQ

Will an adapter affect water resistance?

No. The adapter clamps onto the outside of the resin lugs with two screws — the case never opens, so the factory seals are untouched.

Do I need one adapter or two?

Two — one per lug, and they are handed (left and right differ). Our adapter sets include both pieces plus screws and spring bars.

Which strap width fits after the adapter?

22mm two-piece straps mount on the converted spring bars — that covers our entire GA-2100 strap catalog.
