SKX007 & SRPD Strap Guide

The SKX007 is the most strap-swapped watch ever made — and for good reason: standard 22mm lugs mean the entire aftermarket is open to you. This guide covers the widths that matter, the end-link decision everyone gets wrong, and five proven combos.

Widths by model

Model Lug width Notes
SKX007 / SKX009 / SKX173 22mm The classic. Any 22mm two-piece strap fits.
SKX013 (mid-size) 20mm Do NOT order 22mm — the #1 SKX013 mistake.
SRPD / 5 Sports 22mm Same width as SKX; straight end links sit cleanest.
SRP Turtle / Sumo 22mm Use curved straps matched to the case silhouette.

Curved vs straight end links

Curved end links follow the rounded case of the SKX and Turtle — the bracelet looks factory-installed. Straight end links leave a small gap but let you swap the strap between watches freely. Our rule: if the strap never leaves this watch, go curved; if you rotate straps, go straight.

Five combos that always work

  1. Oyster bracelet, brushed — the SKX “Jubilee-adjacent” daily look.
  2. Vulcanized FKM in black or pepsi — dive DNA, dries in minutes.
  3. Pass-through NATO — the weekend beater setup.
  4. Waxed canvas or sailcloth — the smart-casual crossover.
  5. Curved-end jubilee — dress the SKX up without pretending it’s a Datejust.

FAQ

Do I need adapters like the CasiOak?

No — the SKX takes standard spring bars out of the box. Any 22mm strap is a five-minute, no-tools-beyond-a-spring-bar swap.

Will a strap change affect water resistance?

No. Strap swaps never open the case; your seals are untouched.
