Strap Adapter Guide — Do You Need One?
Two watch families in our catalog need an adapter before any standard strap fits: the GA-2100 CasiOak and the square DW-5600 family. Every other line — F-91W, AE-1200, Duro, Seiko SKX — takes standard spring bars out of the box.
What an adapter does: converts a proprietary lug mount into standard spring bars — one five-minute install, then the entire aftermarket strap catalog opens up.

What’s in an adapter set
Two handed pieces (left and right differ), mounting screws, and usually a pair of spring bars. Stainless sets hold finish longest; resin sets are the budget route. Everything we ship states exactly what’s in the box.
Install in five steps
- Lay the watch face-down on a soft towel.
- Remove the stock band (spring-bar tool or the stock keeper).
- Seat each adapter half on its lug — they only fit one way.
- Install both screws snug, not gorilla-tight.
- Mount your 22mm (or 16mm square) strap on the new spring bars.

FAQ
Do adapters stay on permanently?
They can — most owners leave them fitted and swap straps on the spring bars like any standard-lug watch.
Will an adapter damage the lugs?
No. Adapter halves clamp on the outside of the lugs; removing them leaves the resin underneath intact.
One adapter or two?
Always a pair — the left and right pieces are handed and mirror each other.
